Sansani, the show that has redefined prime time news in India completes 100 episodes.
When TV news was replete with a staple crime bulletin that every channel put out over the weekend, Star News launched the first of it's kind daily show which was not just about crime but addressed your concerns about safety and security.
Sansani , which is produced by BAG Films has created a sensation on the ratings chart. It has left the conventional crime shows far behind by capturing 27% of market share. Says Ms. Anuradha Prasad, MD, BAG Films , the producer of Sansani, "Sansani is an attempt to make news more real and bring in real people, real concerns. We feel that we have been able to contribute towards making our viewers' neighborhood a better and safer place to live in."
Unlike other crime shows Sansani's endeavour is to make the programme more interactive. It has a helpline number that gets more than one thousand calls daily and it is operational round the clock. Says Mr. Ajit Anjum, Executive Editor, BAG Films, "With the help of Sansani helpline many affected people have got reprive even at odd hours. We have taken the lead in exposing the handiwork of blue film makers and tantriks. Sansani ran a crusade against 150 tantriks who were exposed and put behind bars after three weeks. We got over 45,000 phone calls from viewers giving us leads as we pursued this campaign against fraud.
Sansani, gets the thumbs up with an over 100 % growth in viewership on it's time slot. It's 27 % average market share post launch is head and shoulders above all competition.
