Click on the pic to view slideshow Saurabh Tewari is a known name in the television fraternity. He has been there, done that. He quit as the Programming Head of Imagine TV and went on to launch his production house Nautanki Telefilms. And under the banner, he is all set to launch a new show on Colors, Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. It is going on air from 28 May 2012, and has Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami as the leads. And the man of ideas came to our office as a guest editor and by conversing with him we realised how intelligent he is as a person. “The scenario in the television industry has changed drastically. It has evolved in terms of concept but yes, quantity is being given more preference over quality,” said Saurabh. Talking about Imagine channel shutting down suddenly, he shared, “I am sad as so many people lost their jobs. A channel going off air is always a bad news.” About his upcoming venture, he said, “It is not a story on Madhubala, as the rumors go. The promos show that she was born in 1991. However, it is an interesting story and you will have to wait to know more about it.” He then talked in length about the changing trends in the television industry and we were left enlightened at the end of the session. We thank Saurabh for coming to our den and we wish him all the luck for his new venture.
