Sony’s Indian Idol is set to rock the nation again with its second season starting 21 November.
The judges remain the same - Farah Khan, Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam. And this time around too Aman Verma will co-host the show with Mini Mathur. “It is going to be a lot funnier than the previous one, besides we are going to have an equal number of male and female contestants in Indian Idol this time,” says Sony’s business head Tarun Katial.

“And we will also make it much more glamorous on the Fame Gurukul lines. We are going to concentrate more on smaller cities this time. Lucknow has really taken us by surprise with the amount of good singers it has and Kashmir has many hopeful singers too,” says Tarun.
“There have been many farmers and cooks coming forward to participate and I have also kept one of them in my house,” laughs Farah Khan, who is visibly excited about the Indian Idol second series.
A middle class teenager from Mumbai the last time. Who will India vote as its idol this time?
