Shaheer Sheikh and Soumya Seth lived the roles of Anant and Navya to the core in Star Plus' popular show Navya, produced by Swastik Pictures. In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar.com, both of them admitted that they miss Navya and its entire cast.
Said Shaheer, “I had been living the role of Anant for one and a half years. So it is obvious that I miss my character and the show. But at the same time I have also got to rediscover myself post Navya. While I was playing Anant I never had the need to plan my day as time would just fly. I remember once I had a day's off after 70 days of shoot, but to my astonishment I did not know what to do. So I landed up on sets even during my off. In simple words, I have lived a lifetime as Anant and I really miss it now.”
Soumya Seth too shared similar views as she averred, “I miss each and every person from my sets as after having spent almost a year in the show we had all become very good friends. Life seems incomplete without Navya at the moment.”
When asked why she hasn’t taken any other show till date she says, “I think I am still in the Navya trance (laughs). I don’t feel motivated to take up anything. All I want to do at the moment is travel but that hasn’t been happening for a while.” So will she be taking up shows in future? “Yes I would love to take up a travel show if it comes my way.”
(Well...we had this conversation with Soumya before her upcoming show The Serial’s (Channel V) promos hit the airwaves.)
Ask what if Navya comes back, and she literally jumped off her chair to say, “Yes, of course. Initially I loved my character but later I started disliking it as the story changed. But then I just got used to it. So yes, I would love to play it again.”
On the other hand Shaheer is working on himself. "After Teri Meri Love Stories I am learning martial arts and also taking Hindi classes as my Hindi is not that good.”
Talking about the kind of shows he would like to do next he tells us, “I would like to do a youth based show, a comic series or an action series.”
Well we wish them luck with their future endeavors.
