MUMBAI: Shaheer Sheikh, who is currently seen playing the lead in Rajan Shahi's 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke', was initially apprehensive about resuming shooting for the show.
He said, "Wearing a mask, sanitising and washing hands is quite a tedious task. It’s a process and doing that every day can be exhausting. Honestly, I was a little scared of resuming shooting in the pandemic. But, eventually, we had to do it one day. But after I started working on the sets, I felt comfortable how the production house took care of everything. I felt quite safe and after a few days we all got used to it.” He also added, "Also, we all practise social distancing. I would randomly request people to move away a little.”
Ask Shaheer if he watched television and he said, "I liked the promos of the TV show 'Anupamaa'. I feel every Indian family will be able to connect with the show. In many Indian families, a woman'r role is always taken for granted. It is not something that happened fifty years back, it is still happening in our families. "
Before 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke', Shaheer played Salim in the TV show 'Salim Anarkali'. During the pandemic, Siddharth Kumar Tewary's 'Mahabharat' was rerun and Shaheer played Arjun in the show. Viewers enjoyed watching him in 'Mahabharat' too.
