MUMBAI: The extremely talented and vivacious Shalmali Kholgade will grace this week’s episode of MTV Beats Sessions from Home. Post her hit track, Pareshaan, from Ishaqzaade, Shalmali has been noted for her very distinct style of singing and has been a part of some of the biggest hits like Daru Desi, Baby Ko Bass, Don’t be Shy and Balam Pichkari. More recently, Shalmali released her first Independent English single titled Regular, a song she has written, composed and performed, during the lockdown. The song marks her journey of self that she calls Shalmali 2.0.

In this episode of MTV Beats Sessions from Home, she talks about why performing an English song was always on the cards, the process of writing the song and the story behind her new hairdo.
