MUMBAI: Shemaroo Umang’s upcoming show ‘Shamshaan Champa’ is all set to air on August 20, 024 at 9 pm.
The show will present a unique perspective in the world of supernatural thrillers, which will keep the audience glued to the TV screen. Well-known personality of the entertainment industry Monalisa will be seen in an important role in this show. Monalisa will play the role of a witch named Mohini, who wants to become powerful and immortal. We engaged in a conversation with producer Gul Khan, to know more about the project.
In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, when Khan was asked about casting content creators in TV shows, she shared, “I have a lot of involvement when it comes to casting of actors and I think Monalisa is the perfect fit for the titular role. With regards to casting content creators there is no co-relation between social media success and television success. The number of followers a person has on social media does not convert into TRP.
The audience watching television shows is very different. A person might have 15 million following on social media but that does not guarantee me that the individual will be successful on television too. When it comes to casting thankfully the channel does not interfere much and we have had fresh casting in quite some shows. Our last show Aashiqana has had a fresh casting too.”
