MUMBAI: Shemaroo Umang gave a sneak peek of Shamshaan Champa, their most recent production. With Trupati Mishra playing the title character of Champa, this supernatural drama directed by the esteemed director Gul Khan looks to be a blend of mysticism, horror, and spine-tingling intrigue.

Shamshaan Champa is no different; it tells the tale of Champa, an everyday girl who is a devoted devotee of Lord Shiva. Though her path changes and she ends up as a daayan, her heart stays pure the entire time. The show's principal character is portrayed by Trupti Mishra.

She talked exclusively with Trupti about her experience filming the show along with the wrap of her last show Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which went off-air unexpectedly.

Trupti’s last show was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak on Colors. The show wrapped up too soon. Talking about the same, Trupti shared, “When a show wraps early, I do not feel sad as the show which I am a part of is close to me and whatever the reason behind the show going off-air, we worked really hard and with utmost honesty to make the show a success. It was those months that we also spent some good time on the sets. Moreover I feel that it was a great journey and whatever happens is for the best. If that show would not shut, I would not be a part of Shamshaan Champa. I would just like to say that the amount of love that I received for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, I hope to receive the same and in fact more in this project.”

Talking about working with Karam Rajpal, she shared, “He is a good actor and there is a good give and take action-reaction time while shooting. We also bond very well together. Ayush is also a very supportive actor and the only thing which I am very aware of is that my co-actor and I should have a good give and take relationship. The good part is that all my co-actors are extremely supportive.” (Also Read: Shemaroo Umang and Gul Khan Introduce Supernatural Fantasy Saga 'Shamshaan Champa')
