Sharmila Tagore to make her TV debut

Sharmila Tagore marks her television debut as the judge of NDTV Imagine's music reality show, Dhoom Macha De. Sharmila will be judging the show along with music director Shankar Mahadevan and creative whiz, lyricist and script writer Prasoon Joshi. These jury members along with the votes of the entire nation will adjudge the winner to uncover the country's "Best LIVE Performer." Delighted about her new role as a judge, Sharmila Tagore said, "I am really excited to judge 'Dhoom Macha De'. It's something I haven't done before and I'm really looking forward to it. All the participants are extremely talented and judging them is going to be a tough task. I wish all of them the very best." Commenting on the announcement, jury member Shankar Mahadevan further added, "I am delighted to co judge 'Dhoom Macha De' with Sharmila ji. She truly epitomizes beauty and talent in Indian cinema and I have always looked upto her??€¦ and watched all her films, so it is going to be an honor to sit beside her to judge this show." For the first time ever on television, eleven singers like Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz will come together in one show to compete against each other.
