MUMBAI: Same name often gets you into awkward situations. Something similar has happened with Television celebrity manager, Santosh Gupta, who is being mistaken with another Santosh Gupta, a filmmaker, whose wife and daughter sadly died after they set themselves on fire. While the incident took place on Monday and his wife passed away on reaching the hospital, his daughter succumbed to injuries this morning.

This has left Celebrity manager Santosh, who has managed famous actors like Mouni Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Yuvika Chaudhary, Sharad Malhotra and more, in the past, in a miserable place since morning. He has been receiving anxious calls from a lot of people from the industry including actors questioning about his wife's demise and daughter's health. Santosh, who owns a company named Pinnacle Celebrity Management Company, has recently turned into a producer as well with a few web series and probably that's why people have mixed up the two.

The manager revealed, "I was shocked when I first got a call from another producer from the industry asking me if I am ok? And why did my wife and daughter take such a big step to burn themselves. My family is settled in Aligarh and I got extremely worried about this and called them to check what was wrong. With god's grace, they were all fine. And I thought he must have misunderstood something. But I didn't know the misunderstanding was that big. As I was in the middle of a business meeting when almost 20 people reached out to me and I couldn't take their calls. That left them worried and when I checked my phone I had messages saying 'Don't worry all will be ok', 'God is there'. I immediately googled what is the exact matter and then I learned about another producer with the same." 

He went on saying, "I immediately posted on my respective social media that the news is not about me. Although calls have not stopped yet and by now I have received almost a hundred calls. From the last three hours I am just attending these calls and messages, which is making me furious."

Talking about the filmmaker Santosh Gupta, as per a report in a news portal, his wife Asmita, 55-year-old, took the drastic step as she was suffering from a prolonged kidney ailment. The couple's daughter Srishti killed herself due to the trauma of her mother's illness.
