To shoot for a slapping sequence is indeed a challenging one- says Sucheeta Trivedi

MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering Indiawaali Maa is keeping the audience glued to their TV screen with its edgy storyline. As seen so far in the show, Rohan ( Akshay Mhatre ) gets arrested after the bank files an FIR against him for non-payment of dues. Kaku (Sucheeta Trivedi) also learns about the loan amount is 2 crores and slaps Rohan for lying to her.

Sucheeta Trivedi who is known for her brilliant acting skills found it challenging to shoot such a heart-breaking moment where Kaku gets shocked by knowing the truth and slaps him. Speaking about such a sequence, She says, “I am a very calm person and when I came to know that Kaku had to slap Rohan, I was not convinced about it as I believe that slapping an actor is not a right thing and won't be able to give the perfect shot. But production asked me to try it once and if it did not work then the scene will be removed and I agreed to it.”

Elaborating further, she said, " When I started doing this scene, I was still not sure that I will be able to do it and I was thinking out the ways to make the slap sequence  look real, without slapping him. Even though Akshay motivated me to at least slap him and everyone present on set was also making fun of how I am not able to do it. Then the people on set came up with the solution to make the it look real, I have to lift my hand above his nose then it happened after 2-3 takes. Even Rohan took a bit of time to give the exact reaction which was needed at that moment as he was also amazed about how without slapping him I slapped.  Honestly, I had a pain in my left hand since then, but I am happy that I don't have to slap in real while acting without letting the sequence affect and the scene also came out nicely.
