Shraddha Arya, who is currently playing the protagonist in Shashi-Sumeet Mittal's Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki, had auditioned for the role of Jahnvi. Yes, you heard it right. “Well, yes I did audition for Saubhagyavati… at the time when both the shows including Main Laxmi were at the strategy level,” said Shraddha when Tellychakkar.com spoke to her. In fact, some strong sources also informed us that she did not fit the bill hence was not given a go ahead. However, the gracious and beautiful lady had a different tale to tell, “I chose to play Laxmi as it was very close to me and I was getting a chance to play a lively character. Also the show was a good romantic-comedy. On the other hand, in Saubhagyavati Bhav it was a performance oriented character. So I chose to play Laxmi without any doubt. In fact, when the production house of Saubhagyavati came to me, I had already started to shoot for Main Laxmi…” Well, Shraddha’s loss is Sriti’s gain, but the truth is that both the actresses are doing a wonderful job playing their respective roles.
