Snigdha Akolkar makes a comeback on TV with Zee TV’s Bandhan

Remember Snigdha Akolkar who essayed the lead role of Shyamlee in Sahara One’s Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan? The lady was also seen in Vaidehi as the parallel lead. Now, she will be returning to television with Zee TV’s Bandhan – Saari Umar Humein Sang Rehna Hai (Swastik Productions). Snigdha who had taken a break from television has had a good outing at the big screen. She has featured in a cameo role in the Tamil movie Anjathe, played the lead role in the Tamil movie Rajadhi Raja, and has also been seen in Nandalala and Appavin Meesai. She has also been part of Rajshri Productions’ Love U… Mr. Kalakaar. In Bandhan, she will play the role of a tribal girl Kajri who would be living in the jungles. The girl would have a rugged look and her style of walk and attitude will again be rustic. She would not think twice to climb trees and take on all kinds of adventurous activities. The story ahead in Bandhan will see a major twist as a result of which Kajri will become a member of Vishwas Rao’s (Sudesh Berry) family. Also entering the show soon will be actors Meenal Pendse and Piyali Munshi (as reported exclusively by Tellychakkar.com). While Meenal will play the wife of Vishwas Rao, Piyali has been roped in to play the wife of Rudra Pratap Rao, the middle brother of Vishwas Rao who is yet to be introduced. When contacted, Snigdha confirmed her comeback to TV saying, “Yes, it has been a long time since I shot for television shows. I have been busy doing ads and movies. This is a very good role, and I will play a tribal girl who would enter into Vishwas Rao’s family soon.” Get ready for the new twists in Bandhan.
