Sonali Nikam bags lead role in Nivedita Basu’s next for &TV

Producer Nivedita Basu’s The House of Originals, is presently working on a new concept for & TV. And as we know, this comes after Nivedita garnered a lot of critical acclaim with her maiden show as Producer, Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai which brought the B-town biggie Amrita Rao to the small screen. News coming in is that the channel and production has finalized talented actress Sonali Nikam to play the lead in the &TV concept. And for Sonali, this comes after bagging all the limelight for her lead role in Zindagi’s popular show, Aadhe Adhoore. Nivedita’s new show titled ‘Ek Bandhan Aisa Bhi’ will be about a marriage that will happen in a very different circumstance. As per sources, “This will be a big-ticket show for the channel in terms of its beautiful concept and well-etched characters.” We tried calling Sonali, but could not get through to her. Actor Abhishek Malik, who gained fame for his negative portrayal in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan is being considered for the lead role. However, he is not yet on board, is what we hear.
