MUMBAI: A big finale episode of Splitsvilla X5 aired during the first week of August 2024. The winners of this competition hosted by Tanuj Virwani and Sunny Leone, were Jashwanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi. In addition to the winners, Kashish Kapoor and Digvijay Singh Rathee, the co-contestants, created news following the show. Enthusiastic Splitsvilla supporters were taken aback when Kashish selected Rs 10 lakh in cash over the final championship race. Digvijay's last hopes were dashed by Kashish's decision.
Social media users began severely trolling Kashish Kapoor right after the episode aired. She said that she received threats of death and rape from Digvijay's fans in her direct messages.
Lakshay Gaur defended Kashish Kapoor in an interview with the popular news portal, urging online users to stop harassing her. All of the Splitsvilla fans were taken aback by Lakshay's concern for Kashish. However, the reality behind his kind act is entirely different.
Splitsvilla X5 contestants Siwet Tomar and Anicka Sharma disclosed to the prominent news outlet that following the August 11, 2024, airing of the last episode, Lakshay Tomar unfollowed Kashish Kapoor right away. For those who are just now tuning in, Kashish's close friend in the program was Lakshay.
When the shooting of Splitsvilla X5 finished in March 2024, Anicka revealed that Digvijay Rathee, Lakshay Gaur, Kashish Kapoor, and other celebrities used to party in Delhi. However, Lakshay unfollowed Kashish Kapoor on Instagram following the season finale.
Lakshay Gaur was the one who came out in support of Kashish Kapoor. He said, “You are supporting Digvijay; that is fine, but sending rape and death threats to Kashish is not good. This is vulgar. I don’t have another term for this act. Aap apni life mein itne gir chuke hai. If you are saying that you are supporting Digvijay, this is not a way to support. You guys are showing your upbringing by sending rape threats to the girl and passing derogatory remarks about her. Chahe aap mere fan ho ya Digvijay ke fan ho, toh aap kisike bhi nahi ho. Humein aapki zaroorat nahi hai. Please dur raho aap inn sab cheezon se. I don’t think she (Kashish) has done anything wrong to curse her. I would love to talk to Kashish and console her if she is getting affected by the hatred from people. I would like to advise her to stay calm.”
After all of the chaos, Lakshay Gaur can easily be called Splitsvilla X5's biggest hypocrite!
