MUMBAI: It’s not every day, that one’s regular monotonous day unexpectedly turns into a memorable one. Recently, television actor, Yash Pandit experienced this while shooting for an episode with &TV’s Laal Ishq. Given the fact that Yash has worked on quite a few supernatural shows in the past, it is only natural to develop a fondness for this genre and not get spooked out by various tales. But little did he expect that this fondness could bring him face to face with an astounding spooky experience altogether!
Shooting for a scene at Shakti Mill compound in Mumbai, the actor had heard quite a few haunting stories about the place. However, nothing was as haunting as the experience he had when the entire unit decided to play a prank on him one night. Recalling the incident, Yash said, “I had heard quite a few scary tales about this place and was, in a way, frightened a bit to shoot there. In fact, after the pack up, I would immediately leave with the entire team. However, one night we were busy shooting till wee hours, till about 3:00 am. The moment we finished shooting, I started hurrying to get set to go home but by then quite a few people had already left. Honestly, I was a bit frightened to be left all by myself, but I managed to hold myself together anyhow. As I sat in my car, I noticed a shadow at the backseat from my rear-view mirror. My instant reaction was to scream and jump out of my car leaving all my belongings in there. After a few minutes, I noticed the shadow that I saw was that of our fellow co-actor who was portraying the role of a demon in the show. The crew had cleverly placed him to scare me, which I was! Looking at my expression, everyone on sets burst out laughing and I realized I was pranked (laughs). I must say, this was one of the most memorable welcomes that I have received.”
In the upcoming episode, the story will revolve around the newlyweds, Viaan (Yash Pandit) and Aleesha (Roop Durgapal) traveling to an isolated campsite for their honeymoon. Drawn by an old statue, Aleesha will stop midway only to be pulled by a demon. Realizing that Viaan is a potential suitor for a baby, the demon will draw him too towards the jungle. But what remains to be seen is how will be couple manage to escape from the clutches of this demon.
