MUMBAI: Actress Subuhii Joshii who is known for her performance in Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai is also a professional DJ. Recently she was seen as the DJ for a show and looking joyful with her headphone managing the console. Speaking about her love for being a DJ, Subuhii says,"It all started a decade back when I was at my friend's place in Delhi. He had a console at his place and just for fun I asked him to teach me. This went on for some time and he used to teach me on and off and I grabbed it quite quickly. I have a great admiration towards music and that led me towards disc jockeying. In every emotion of mine whether it is sad or happy, I listen to music. I have lost the count of how many shows I have done so far. There have been times when I did 10  shows in a month."

But how did you strike the right balance between being a DJ and acting? "An actor and disc jockey is a rare combination. When I am acting, I cant do the DJ thing as it will be too much to handle. Because after shooting for so many hours you cannot concentrate on anything else. After lockdown I have again started being a DJ. Whenever I find out time I will surely take this up. I try to do 4 shows in a month depending on my acting assignments." Subuhii feels the best mark of a good DJ is the perfect sense of music. As she adds, "I have got compliments for my good sense of music, as I know what music to play in what kind of crowd. And that's the mark of a good DJ. My all-time favourite DJ is DJ Akeel who is also a good friend. He has been amazing over the years with his craft."  

Subuhii will be next seen in her debut web film Fariha in the title role.
