Sudesh Berry loses his wallet, Jennifer her two phones

Call it a bad coincidence. Actor Sudesh Berry and Jennifer Mistry-Bansiwal were both robbed of their valuables on Tuesday night. While Berry lost his wallet on the sets of Mata ki Chowki, poor Jennifer was robbed of her two mobile phones on the sets of Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah. An actor from Mata ki chowki informs, “Sudesh’s wallet was robbed from his vanity van. We were shooting at Amar Tara studio in Sakinaka. Sudesh was very upset. Soon the police arrived and they interrogated a unit member on grounds of suspicion but he was later released. An inquiry is on and we’re hoping the thief will be caught. He lost around Rs 10,000 and his cards.” Berry remained unavailable for comment. Jennifer couldn’t be contacted but her on-screen husband Gurcharan Singh gave us a low down on the theft. Gurcharan avers, “Jennifer lost both her two mobile phones from her make-up room. We were shooting at Film City. She took a toilet break but left her room door ajar. That’s when somebody stepped in and took her phones. Police were called in and four people are under suspicion, but thus far there has been no breakthrough. I believe she had bought a new phone recently.” Jennifer wrote the sorry tale on her facebook wall which read as “I’m extremely upset as I lost both my mobile phones worth Rs. 35,000. They were stolen from my shoot. I lost all my contacts, snaps, shoot schedules, to-do list and above all my emotional messages sent by my hubby. God bless the thief. Hope, he has a change of heart” Well, this isn’t the first instance of theft on the sets of Taarak Mehta... Neha Mehta, aka Anjali Mehta, has lost her phone thrice. “Poor Neha has lost her phone thrice and on two other occasions, she was robbed of her cash. It almost seems like someone is after her. You have to feel for Neha,” said Gurcharan empathetically.
