MUMBAI: Jimmy Sheirgill has been approached to play the male lead in Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey’s next show titled Swaran Ghar. While the makers are hoping for him to sign on the dotted line soon, they have roped in Sangita Ghosh to play the protagonist. Nirmal Rishi will play Sangita’s mother-in-law on the show. The daily soap revolves around a couple who is abandoned by their children.
A source said, “Sangita has signed the contract and is on board with us for the show. The set of the show is erected in Chandigarh and the shooting will take place there. The show is expected to go on floors next month. We will be shooting a promo for the show soon.”
The series is about how parents sacrifice for their children and what they get in return eventually. The lead couple will have three sons.
Sangita catapulted to fame as Parminder in Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. The actress featured in Rabba Ishq Na Hove, Viraasat, and Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara.
