Supriya Kumari and Sachin Shroff in DD's Annu Damini

Supriya Kumari and Sachin Shroff have been paired together for the first time ever. Wondering in which show? Read on… Supriya of Bairi Piya fame and Sachin Shroff, who is currently also seen in Life OK’s Tumhari Paakhi, are currently seen in DD’s Annu Damini. In the serial, Supriya essays the role of Annu Damini, a sweet girl from Ranchi who gets married to a boy from the same city. The role of Dev, her husband, is being essayed by Sachin. As per the storyline, Dev was never interested in getting married to a small town girl for he works in a multinational firm in Mumbai, but he had to on instance of his parents. But soon after their marriage he made it clear to Annu that he wouldn’t be able to consummate their marriage for it happened against his will. This is exactly when the actual story of Annu’s struggle began. The show went on air on 31 March 2014. When contacted Supriya she said, “It’s a sweet role hence, I took it up. Moreover DD is available in every house.” Sachin too confirmed the same and said, “Dev is not a bad human being but it’s just that he expects better from life. Therefore, he wants to divorce his wife. The response of the show has been good and the viewership has increased by thirty percent in just a week’s time.” Keep up the good work guys!
