Popular mythological show “Suryaputra Karn” will be taking a leap of 10 years in the upcoming weeks. Taking the reins from child actor Vishesh Bansal, newcomer Vasant Bhatt will be seen essaying the title role in the show post leap.
“This is my first show as a lead actor and I am thrilled to essay the character of Karn on television. It’s a very interesting role and I consider myself lucky to have got the opportunity to play such a powerful part,” Vasant said in a statement.
“I have been going through intense training for the role as I will start shooting soon. The cast boasts of some brilliant actors and I am looking forward to work and learn from each and every one of them,” he added.
The show, which is aired on Sony Entertainment Television, is based on the life of Karn, the mythological character of Hindu epic “Mahabharata”.
