Sweta Keswani to bid adieu to 'Dekho Magar Pyaar Se'

Not so long ago, Sweta Keswani had said, "I am feeling on top of the world having got Dekho Magar Pyaar Se. Tanya dons the most outrageous costumes, plunging necklines and the shortest of skirts. I don't think anybody has worn hotter clothes on Indian television before this!" Today, she is packing her bags and moving out of Star Plus' answer to Jaasi Jaissi Koi Nahin! The voluptuous Sindhi babe told us last night, "My character (Tanya Bedi) is not going the way as planned. I was told I would be Karan's (Keith Sequiera) girlfriend and Nikki (Shweta Agarwal) would be pushing her way into our relationship. It's coming out differently. It seems that they (Niki and Karan) are in love and I (Tanya) am butting in." Sweta says that she spoke to those in charge of the show and is now to be eased out of the project in two weeks. "But I have no clue about Tanya's fate. Whether she'll be killed or abruptly pulled off, let's see." Last month, we saw Sweta gyrating in an item number in Tauba Tauba that featured another oomph girl Payal Rohatgi. Currently she is working on another film Jackpot (DVD) which has Mukul Dev (the new Arindam of Ekta Kapoor's K.Street, Pali Hill, the original being Alyy Khan- note the extra numerologically induced 'y' in his name). On the serial front, she is doing Kyunki Yeh Hai Haasya Kavi Muqaabla (Smile TV) This is the third time that Sweta has opted out of a Star Plus show, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand being the other two instances- despite both Ekta Kapoor and Aroona Irani keen that she continue. "I am a very straightforward person. I had clearly told Ekta Kapoor nearly eight months before I left. I had also informed Aroona Irani in advance. This time too, I presented my case very simply. My character was not happening. It wasn't going anywhere." Way to go, girl!
