T-town actresses' WARM thoughts to help the underprivileged

Some of the actors of Bengal joined hands and created an organization to help needy people. Last week, they distributed blankets to some of the street dwellers of Kolkata.

It is truly said that there is nothing better than being able to bring a smile to someone's face!

And recently actors Debaparna Chakraborty, Alivia Sarkar and many others together made some people happy.

How?

Well, on a winter night of last week, they stepped out of the comfort of their cozy homes and distributed warm blankets to the street dwellers of the city (Kolkata).

About this initiative, Debaparna said to Tellychakkar.com, “A very close person of my life, Ankit Ghorui, left me on 14, May, 2016. He died in a bike accident. To full fill his dream, some of my friends and I joined hands and created an organization called FIN (Friends in Need), which aims to help people who are in need.”

“FIN’s aim was to start a mobile ambulance and fulfill Ankit’s dream of helping people. So, last week, on his birthday (15 December), my FIN colleagues, close friend Alivia and I stepped out and distributed blankets to some of the street dwellers,” she added.

The actress, who was last seen in Star Jalsha’s Punyi Pukur, also mentioned that she received support from her industry friends.

She said, “In this small endevour, I have received immense support from many of industry friends like Monami Ghosh, Tania Kar, and Aparna Bhattacharya. And I am really thankful to Alivia for being my constant support.”

Star Jalsha's Jhaanj Lobongo Phool actress Alivia was glad to be part of this mission. She shared with us, “Debaparna is a very close friend of mine. Her friend’s dream was to create an organization to stand by people who are below poverty line however, he couldn’t complete his dream. Debaparna is executing his dream now.”

“Being a part of the organization is a great experience for me. On his birthday, we distributed 110 blankets to the needy people. They were really happy. Trust me nothing can be better than bringing a smile to someone’s face. We want maximum people to support us and create a better Kolkata.” she signed off.

Great initiative, girls!
