MUMBAI: As Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah completed 17 years of telecast, a press conference was held to celebrate the milestone and honor the cast as well as the makers of the show. All the cast members attended the event and spoke to the media.
Mayur Vakani who is reel as well as real brother of Dayaben played by Disha Vakani spoke his heart out at the event and shared that he misses his sister around.

Mayur said, "Today, my sister is no longer a part of this show, but my journey continued. By God’s grace, I had the chance to perform with her here, and that marked the beginning of a beautiful journey over the years. I’m truly grateful to the entire team—those present today and everyone who has been a part of the show in the past. Most importantly, I want to thank our wonderful audience. None of this would have been possible without their unwavering love and support."
He added, "Mr. Taarak Mehta’s blessings still feel very much with us. He brought laughter to the world while he was with us, and I’m certain he’s smiling down on us even now. As an actor, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of such a wonderful team — one that has truly felt like a family.”
He concluded saying, "Mai behna ko bhi miss kar raha hu, or yeh journey shaandar hai (I'm missing my sister and this journey has been phenomenal)."
