Ace actress Tanima Sen, who is currently seen in Aakash Aath's Pandemonium, is gearing up to essay a cool, modern, tech-savvy grandmother in Zee Bangla’s new rom com soap ‘Premer Phade’ (Ravi Ojha Productions). She excitedly said about her role at a media interaction, “I am playing Ratnaboli who is always chirping. She is much elder to everyone in the family, but she is least bothered about it. She is always dancing around with them.” “She is either clicking selfies with her granddaughters or playing carrom with them. She always keeps the house lively and joyful. She knows how to maintain the balance between her granddaughters and daughters-in-law. Even when she has hurt her legs, she was full of spirit,” she added with a smile. Tanima shared that her onscreen character is quite tech-savvy who is well aware of social networking sites. She said laughingly, “Ratnaboli is on Whatsapp. She keeps on poking her granddaughters to update her on the new features and tools available on the social networking site. She is also on Facebook. She always prods them to know if any boy has liked the new snap of hers that her granddaughter had posted on FB. She gets ecstatic every time someone buys a new smart phone at her home.” When quizzed if her character is aiming to bring a change about the notion of grandmothers, she quipped, “I want all our grandmothers to be more welcoming and friendly with their daughters-in-law and spare them the horror of being let into an unfriendly atmosphere.” “I have been told that change in the mind set of the people are happening. But,I have never seen so. I personally want the change to happen. This being a big production house, I am quite optimistic about bringing a change through this mega serial,” she signed off.
