Tansen has been one of the most challenging roles for me: Vijay Badlani

Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) is all set to open up the track wherein the story will introduce the nine jewels of Akbar’s (Rajat Tokas) court. And as we know, making an appearance as Tansen is talented actor Vijay Badlani. The guy is indeed very ecstatic for having bagged this historical role. “Yes, I play Keshav Pandit who will later be rechristened as Tansen by Emperor Akbar,” confirms the actor. He further goes on to add, “I am really thankful to Ekta mam (Kapoor) for giving me this opportunity.” Interestingly, the actor has had to work extremely hard to get the nuances of this character right as he avers, “This has been one of the most challenging characters for me as I had never held a tanpura in my hand before this. But the crash-course in classical music helped me get into the soul of this character.” Do you personally like music? “Yes, I like different forms of music.
