Elegant actress Tapeshwari Grewal (earlier Sharma) will essay the role of Mahadev’s grown-up daughter Usha in Nikhil Sinha’s Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev on Life OK. Usha as a kid, would have been handed over to the asur Banasur (Vikramjeet Virk) and his wife Bani (Aarti Singh). Banasur would have given Usha all the training possible in becoming a warrior. A source states, “The character of Usha will be a strong one; she will be a girl who would love to fight like any other warrior. Her entry sequence too will have her getting into a fight with Nandi and few others.” When contacted, Tapeshwari who has been part of shows like Sasural Genda Phool, Parichay and was last seen in cameo roles in Madhubala and Chhanchhan confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I will be entering Mahadev. I play the daughter of Mahadev. I am having a great time shooting for the show. Mohit Raina as Mahadev has become an icon and it is a privilege to share screen space with the man.” Furthermore, actor Arbaaz Ali Khan has also been roped in to play the role of Balram in the show. Arbaaz has been a part of shows like Sanskaar and Madhubala. Said he: “I am playing Krishna’s brother and will enter the show to take revenge. I will be shown being in constant war with someone or the other. My character is here to stay for some time.” Both Tapeshwari and Arbaaz’s entry will be aired tonight (24 April 2014).
