MUMBAI : It is well said that a teacher plays the most important role in a student’s life. On this special occasion of Teachers’ Day, we take a look at the TV shows which incorporated mentors and their teachings as one of the priority tracks. Teachers’ Day is one of those special days where we thank our teachers for paving our life in the right direction and shaping us into better individuals.

Chunauti
Chunauti, a 1987 television series, followed an idealistic college principal named Mr. Shastri struggled to address issues that students face, such as mass copying, drug addiction, irresponsible teachers, ragging, donations, and unfavourable hostel conditions. Chunauti, a masterfully written emotional drama that meticulously covered every facet of college life, became an enormous hit.
Chanakya
The historical series Chanakya debuted on Doordarshan on September 8, 1991, and ran there until August 9, 1992. The show is a fictitious chronicle of the life and times of Chanakya, an Indian political theorist, strategist, and economist who lived in the fourth century BCE. Chandragupta Maurya's instructor and guru was Chanakya. Bindusar, the future monarch, was descended from Chandragupta. Chanakya was Bindusar's principal advisor as well.
Swim Team
The Channel V series Swim Team followed the journey of a swimming coach named Tarun Kapoor and his team of swimmers. In order to represent the nation at the Summer Olympics, the coach and his swim team underwent intense preparation, which was shown in the episode.
Hip Hip Hurray
Hip Hip Hurray was a television program that told the tale of the class XII students' relationships, conflicts, triumphs, and setbacks. The program aired between 1998 and 2000. Vinay Pathak as Vinny Sir, the immensely well-liked English instructor. The fashionable physics instructor Alaknanda ma'am was represented by Suchitra Pillai.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Bhide is shown to be a school and tuition teacher who educates his students and imparts moral values parallel to other storylines which run the narrative.
