Choti Bahu fans must be wondering where Avinash Sachdev has disappeared since season 2 of this Zee TV show ended. We spoke to the man concerned and he admitted that, “it has been a long time since he has been away from the small screen space. “I am in talks with a few people, but nothing has been signed on paper yet.” And on the type of shows he is eyeing, he shared, “I am an actor and give me anything meaty and I will accept it. But anyways over the years, I have already tried varied characters (Karam Apna Apna and Kish Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil). I would love to try out a negative shade as well.” Since you and your Choti Bahu co –star Rubina Dilaik are a couple, would you want to take part in Star dance reality show Nach Baliye which will soon return? “I have not yet thought about it. I am not a very passionate dancer so if I ever do it… will be only because of her.” He would not even mind anchoring a non- fiction show as well. “I am open to anything what life has to offer.” Avinash also has no problems in accepting that the ratings of season two of Choti Bahu were less then season one which was a big hit. “You can’t compare two seasons which did not come at the same time and also season two had a different story. The very fact that we came back with the same cast and same name was history in itself.” He also rejected allegations that ending of season 2 was not good. “Everybody has their own perceptions. But I think it was all right, we did whatever we could.” Any chance of a season 3? “I don’t think that the channel and production house (DJ’s A Creative Unit) have thought about it. Having said that… I would be happy if season 3 rolls by.” The success of brand Choti Bahu has kept Avinash busy all these months post the show ended. “I have attended concerts all the over the world (South Africa, West Indies and USA) and was amazed at the love and affection people have for our show. I have also just shot a upcoming calendar for a website and even done a TV commercial for another online shopping portal.” Way to go…Avinash!!!
