Gauhar and Nigaar Khan
Gauhar Khan is currently seen onscreen along with sister Nigaar Khan, in Khan Sisters aired on UTV Bindaas. The show gives - as the title suggests - viewer a peek into the lives of the two sisters. It is based on a genre called celebrity peep show television (reality TV) made famous by The Osbournes, Keeping up with the Kardashians. Gauhar Khan, the younger of the two finds the show’s concept interesting. And it looks like it is also turning out to be a good learning experience for her. The model-turned actress underwent a lip augmentation procedure. And Gauhar, apparently is extremely unhappy with the results. “I have realized that you shouldn’t do anything to your face or body. God has created you beautifully. I have learnt my lesson, and will never go for anything like this in the future,” reveals Gauhar. Incidentally, the results were temporary and lasted for only three to four hours. Not only this, the sister duo recently shot for PETA’s Ban Zoo campaign. “I think even the animals have the right to live freely. Instead of a zoo, where they are caged, animals should be kept in a place where they can roam freely. Posing for PETA’s photo shoot was an eye-opening experience,” says Gauhar. To drive this point home, they dressed up in tiger suits and stayed put in a cage for sometime and let themselves be photographed. The show will go off air sometime in February, 2012. The buzz, is that it may well turn out to be the last season. Apparently, Gauhar believes TV as a medium does not suit her. She refused to comment on this. Well, viewers who have kind of got hooked on to this show, watch this space, until Gauhar decides to open up.
