MUMBAI: After creating a strong foothold in the television industry, Asha Negi has now been winning over audiences with her impactful performances in the OTT space. Known for her breakthrough role as a gentle and docile daughter-in-law in daily soaps, Asha has successfully reinvented herself by portraying bold, confident, and powerful characters in various web series.
In an earlier interview, Asha candidly spoke about the challenges she faced during this transition. She admitted that in the initial phase of her career shift, she had to deal with constant trolling on social media. Hurtful remarks, including being labeled as “jobless,” deeply affected her at first.

However, with time, Asha learned to rise above the negativity and focus on her craft, channeling her energy into honing her skills and proving her mettle as a performer.
In an interview with TellyMasala, Asha Negi opened up about facing trolling during a difficult phase in her career. The actress revealed that after two of her television shows went off-air, she decided to take a break. However, during this period, some trolls labeled her as “jobless,” which left her deeply upset.
She shared, “I remember this one time when both my shows ended and I genuinely didn’t have any work. Somebody on Twitter called me ‘jobless,’ and it really hurt because it was true at that point—I was out of work. I felt like, how can someone just say that so casually?”
Asha also recalled being targeted by trolls after her breakup with Rithvik Dhanjani, admitting that the negativity at that time was equally painful. However, with experience and maturity, she has now learned to deal with it better. “With time, I’ve become immune to trolling and I don’t let it affect me as much anymore,” she concluded.
