Actor Debottam Majumder, known for Bengali serials like Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti, Saat Paake Bandha, Keya Patar Nouko and Chokher Tara Tui, is a travel freak.
“Travelling for me is ‘oxygen’. It’s the urge of knowing the unknown that excites me. Travelling refreshes me,” Debottam expressed to Tellychakkar.com.
When quizzed what travelling has taught him, he quipped, “Travelling has taught me one simple thing that mother nature is wealthier than the richest person on this planet.”
“The best part of travelling I believe is that it makes you a story teller,” he added.
If one gets an equally enthusiastic travel buddy the journey becomes awesome.

So, when asked who Debottam’s best travel buddy is, he answered, “My wife. She never gets tired of finding me in all my excitement and enthusiasm when I run to explore different areas during my travel. In my travels, she too joins me with a smile.”
The actor also had a funny travel experience.
He shared, “During a trip to Nainital, our group hired horses to climb to a place called Tiffin Top. I was leading the group on a dark brown horse. It was a horrible narrow route full of pebbles and stones. After around 15 minutes, the person in charge of my horse had to leave due to an emergency. Heading towards our destination without the person, was a terrible experience as my horse for a proper grip of course was constantly moving towards the edge of the street.”
“But finally, I discovered that the horse was quite intelligent as I reached safely to the top of the mountain. Not once did the horse and I topple down the mountain,” he added with a wink.
Talking about the places that he has already travelled and his dream destination, the actor said, “I have visited Puri, Murshidabad, Digha, Darjeeling, Mirik, Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Delhi, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Fatehpur Sikri, Gangtok, Lachung, Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Varanasi and Thailand.”
“My dream is to go for Europe tour,” he added.
