Cricket fans across India are in a gloomy state of mind with team India getting knocked out from T20 World Cup 2012. Cricket is truly a religion in this country. Though it is just a game, but given the sentiments of fellow countrymen, things can get really remorseful with India losing a match. Now a blanket of despair has spread on the country with India getting knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2012 series in spite of registering a victory against South Africa yesterday. So, we at Tellychakkar.com called up a few television stars and asked them their reactions on the outcome. Read on... Green eyed boy Nakuul Mehta, who is seen as Aditya in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai… said, “I am not disappointed as we have won T20 trophy five years ago. We have a young team and don’t have old players around anymore. Currently, we are going through a transition period. The only problem with our team is that our players are not consistent. This time, we played very badly against Australia; otherwise we played pretty well. Despite, winning yesterday, we have been knocked out of the tournament. If not India, I would want West Indies to win the T20 trophy.” Tough and rude playing cop Arjun aka Shaleen Malhotra from Star Plus’ Arjun averred, “In India, people worship cricket but we should understand the fact that it’s a game and should take any decision in the right spirit. It’s not that we didn’t win earlier and we will never win again. It’s just that it was not our day.” He further continued, “Winning and losing is a part of a game. Although it’s disheartening, but let’s be positive and hope to win next time. And well, if not India, then I will vouch for Sri lanka to lift the trophy because they haven’t won yet. This time they have an advantage that they are playing on their own home ground with the home crowd to support.” Chocolate boy Karan Wahi, who was last seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa observed, “First of all, let’s be realistic. Let’s not forget that we won quite a few matches in this tournament. Yesterday, seeing that we were out of the contest, people went crazy and were abusing the players on social networking sites. In spite of winning the match yesterday, we lost because of run rate. So, I say, let’s be practical and be cool about it. I want West Indies to win this year because they have a bunch of good players. The entire team is playing really well and it’s been long they haven’t won the trophy.” “I have not been following cricket these days, but I know that in spite of winning the particular match, we lost. Everybody had high hopes from Dhoni and his boys. But they didn’t disappoint us; all of them worked very hard. I being a big fan of the Indian cricket team, I will always cheer them no matter if they win or lose.” stated Karan Mehra aka Naitik from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Lastly, Manish Goel said, “India’s exit from theT20 World Cup has been the result of us lacking in the bowling department. The first negative point is that we kept Harbhajan Singh out of the match. Dhoni always tried something different with his boys but for a moment it worked but sometimes it backfired. So basically, I can say that it was not our day yesterday and we didn’t play it smartly. If not India, I will want Australia to win the trophy because I think they are a good team.” Well…better luck next time…Team India!!!
