A page from the personal diary of Nandish Sandhu Hello everyone, I am Nandish Sandhu whom you know as Veer from my past show Uttaran/em> and now as Thakur Aditya Singh from Zee TV’s Phir Subah Hogi. I am born and brought up in Bharatpur, Rajasthan where my parents stay. I stay here in Mumbai with my wife Rashmi (Desai). I completed my schooling from St Peters and later completed Hotel management course from IHM, Mumbai. Before entering into the field of television, I wanted to be a fighter pilot or alternatively work in any hotel. In fact I worked with the Taj hotel for a few months. Later, I also worked with a call center. I also did modeling and did ad campaigns for Superia Soaps, Big Bazaar, SET Max Channel, Apple Jacuzzi and bathtubs, Microsoft Corporation, Filmfare Magazine Promotion, Reliance Telecom Limited (GSM),Tata Indicom Calender, Jet Airways among many others. After doing advertisements, my friends asked me to appear for auditions and try my luck in television. Later, I came to know that Balaji Telefims was coming up with a new show. Hence I appeared for the audition and got selected for the role of Saket in Star Plus’ Kayamat. After that I did many shows like Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, Khwaish and later I did Uttaran in which I got a chance to play the lead role of Veer. Having got recognition from that show, later I also tried my hands in comedy when I did projects like Laughter Ke Phatke and Comedy Circus. And now as mentioned above, I am doing Phir Subah Hogi. My journey has been great till date. I had to struggle a lot initially but after doing television, things started falling into place. I believe that to be an actor, variation and flexibility are a must. My parents have been very obliging and supportive throughout my journey. On the personal front, I love photography, also have a liking for swimming, listening to music, watching movies, working out in gym and spending quality time with Rashmi. Life is beautiful after marriage. I had different thoughts about marriage but after getting married to her, I realised that I had a wrong perception about it. My best moment of life was when Rashmi said ‘yes’ after I proposed her. So this is my journey in short. Thank you everyone for liking me and being so big-hearted. Would want you all to keep loving me in the same way you do today, over the coming years.
