MUMBAI: Vipul Roy has acted in serials such as Sahib Biwi Aur Boss, F.I.R, Dr. Madhumati On Duty, Partners Trouble Ho Gayi Double, etc. He is currently seen in Naye Shaadi Ke Siyape. He is all set to begin the new chapter of his life.
The actor is all set to tie the knot with his US-based fiancée Melis Atici next year. Melis, a Turkish girl, who has been living in San Francisco for over a decade now, has already relocated to Mumbai, to get a taste of life here ahead of their wedding. Speaking about the same, Vipul told Times of India, “During her earlier visits, I would take a break from work and we were always together. But now that she has relocated here, that won’t be the case. I will be shooting in Naigaon for eight-12 hours, and she will have to understand the pressures of my profession. We have decided to live-in so that we get to know each other better.”
When asked about his big day, he said to the daily, “It will happen sometime next year. In fact, we will start planning it soon.” Vipul added that Melis had no qualms about moving to India. “Everyone is asking me how I convinced a US-based girl to migrate to Mumbai. Well, I, too, asked her the same question because she leads a lavish lifestyle in SF. She surprised me when she said that it is the ‘who’ that matters more than ‘where’ for her. Many people also felt that I should migrate to the US, but I don’t have a career there, and I prefer the stable life in Mumbai,” he shared.
