Vishal Kandhari, Karishma Modi Chandok and Amit Gandhi's do their bit!

MUMBAI: During this tough time, when everyone is literally staying at home for their survival, actors Vishal Kandhari, Karishma Modi Chankdok and Amit Gandhi are making sure to help the needy. “We have a registered non-profit organization involved in doing various charitable activities and good work for the benefit of the underprivileged community. In the present situation of the lockdown that has been out in place due to the Pandemic caused by COVID-19, we realized that it will be a daunting situation for the daily wagers and families with very small incomes to meet their ends meet and even get their daily food,” says Vishal.

He adds, “Hence, we decided to focus all our resources and stand by the daily wagers. We took up an extraordinary project wherein we are committed to providing 3000 ‘wholesome cooked food packets’ to the stranded migrant/daily laborers and their families and the needy locals as well, residing in the slum areas of Bhayander and Malad. We have so far managed to raise funds through our connections and circle of friends.”

He urges more people to come forward and help them out. “The task ahead is daunting and we want to ensure full continuity till the lockdown is called off. We are in great need of mass Support for this project to go on and even get bigger if possible by reaching out and helping more needy people till this lockdown period is over and these people can go back to earning their livelihoods again,” he says.
