Sources suggest that the channel is pulling Amber-Dhara off unceremoniously as it did not fare as expected. Sony, reportedly, was banking highly on the show and expected it to be the channel's flagship show. Pushkar, supervising producer Amber-Dhara, confirms the news and says, "The show is going off-air from the 28th of April. The show will have a happy ending with the twins getting separated." Waar-Parriwar, an hour long show will also replace Balaji's Khwaish. Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head Sony, says, "Waar-Parriwar will be replacing Khwaish and Amber-Dhara from 28th of April. It will be a one hour show, which will air from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, from Mondays to Wednesdays." When asked which show the channel will air on Thursdays during that time-slot Almeida choose not to divulge any details. He says, "We are still deciding on those lines. We will let you know in a couple of days." With yet another fiction going off-air from the prime-time slot and IPL making way on Sony, one can conclude that it is non-fiction that works best for the channel.
