TV actors always think about saving water and this time there is a big reason to support. We all are aware of the fact that parts of Maharashtra are facing worst drought situation ever. Understanding the gravity of the issue, TV celebs have decided to have a dry Holi this year. They have expressed their anxiety and advised their fans not to waste water. So here are few TV stars who have decided to play Holi only with colours and no water. The girl with a million dollar smile Ragini Khanna (India’s Best Dramebaaz) said, “I am going to be at home this year, although Holi is my favourite festival. We should not forget that Maharashtra is facing drought. So I request all my fans to save water. Enjoy your Holi with eco-friendly colours. I believe Holi does not mean removing your aggression; it should be played with love and joy. So have a safe Holi.” Karan Mehra aka Naitik of Yeh Rishta shared, “This will be my first Holi with Nisha (Rawal) after marriage and I am really excited as my family is coming down from Delhi. I usually don’t play Holi that much and this time I think people should save water as Maharashtra is facing water crisis. So we all should think of saving water and pledge to play Holi without water.” Beautiful and gracious Soumya Seth, who is currently seen as Aaradhya in Sony Entertainment Television’s Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat stated, “It’s a dry Holi for me this year. I believe one should be civilized and understand his/her responsibility. Farmers are suffering due to water crisis. I would request all my fans to do our bit as a citizen and save water.” “Well, I think people will not bother about saving water and will still end up playing Holi all drenched. People should think about saving water. It is not about only enjoying festivals but thinking about the situation around. For me it has always been dry Holi because wet colours are very unsafe for skin. I don’t appreciate Holi with water. So play Holi but save water,” averred Anas Rashid (Diya Aur Baati Hum). Lastly, Jay Soni, who is currently seen in Colors’ Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki added, “I don’t know but whenever I play Holi I get hurt. Last year while playing Holi I got hurt on my head and it was bleeding very badly. And this year also I got hurt on the same place. I think people don’t play Holi but vent out their aggression which is not good. I prefer roaming on a bike with my friends and like to watch people playing Holi. It is the ideal way to enjoy rather than wasting water. Nowadays rain dance has become a fashion which is nothing but unnecessary wastage of water. So please don’t waste water needlessly.” Here’s to water conservation!!!
