Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited launched its second Hindi GEC 'Zee Next' with five new shows starting from 17 th Decmeber. Speaking on this development Zee group chairman Subhash Chandra said, "Indian television presents a familiar look with majority of the shows centered around the saas-bahu saga. While this has found flavour with the housewives and the soap- loving audience, it has failed to capture the imagination of the entire masses. For some, it's been a pain to watch such subjects. Thus to ease their pain we've decided to come with Zee Next which will produce cleaner, fresh and healthier entertainment and yet manage to rake in high TRPs." Zee Next's Business Head and Network Operating officer, Punit Goenka had this to say, "With the evolution of TV viewing audiences, this channel offers an aura of refreshing and blooming entertainment and aims to bridge the gap between the generations. Retaining the traditional heritage and philosophy of the Zee network, our new offerings will keep pace with the changing times and appeal to the sensibilities of the entire Indian family." A new channel, new concepts and a whole lot of new faces. That's what a viewer can expect from Zee Next. The channel will get rolling with five shows hitting airwaves on 17th December. The most catching show among them is Jhoome Jiiya Re, a tale of a dumb girl Jiiya - addressed by all as Dabboo. Produced by Tony and Diya Singh, makers of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Jhoome??€¦ talks about an utterly confused dumb girl Jiiya who simply doesn't know her goal or motto in life. Debuant Preeti Amin plays the lead. It also marks the return of Gauri Tonk. This daily will be aired at 9.00 pm. Zee Next also sees the debut of model-turned-actor-turned producer Milind Soman. Milind, in his show Pyaar, Ishq Mohabbat, takes you through various romantic love stories which will be covered in a 64 episode series. Noted TV actors Sachin Sharma, Sampada Vaze, Shraddha Nigam and Diwakar Pundir are part of this show, which will be telecast at 8.00 pm. The other dailies comprise of shows such as Simply Sapney, Ek Thi Rajkumari, and Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander. These shows will be broadcasted from the 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
