MUMBAI : Hina Khan needs no introduction. The actress rose to fame with her debut show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Akshara, and then, there was no looking back. Hina was a part of the show for a very long time and quit it in the year 2016.

Fans dearly miss the actress in the show even today. The show has since witnessed several changes, twists, and leaps. 

Shivangi Joshi entered the show in the same year that Hina quit, and there was a lot of buzz that Hina was being replaced by Shivangi. Social media was filled with lots of stories, making fans curious to know what would happen next in the show.

Spilling the beans on the same during her recent live chat session with Siddharth Kannan, Shivangi said that the storm was created after Hina's character was shown to be dead in the show. At that time, Shivangi was to enter the serial. 

But things cooled down as the story progressed and fans got clarity that Hina wasn't replaced but had left the show.
