When Jyotsna Chandola was offered the 'negative role' yet again in Haunted Nights - Kaun Hai Woh...

Jyotsna Chandola
It’s time for the negative ‘Khushi’ aka Jyotsna Chandola of Sasural Simar Ka to go positive. Yes, we are talking about the positive lead role that the lady has bagged in Sahara One’s new social thriller Haunted Nights - Kaun Hai Woh? However, not many know that Jyotsna was again offered the negative lead in this Entertainment Hub show to be launched on 26 August 2013. So how did she manage to bag the positive lead instead? Hear it from Jyotsna as she says, “I auditioned for the negative role and while I was sitting there, I happened to read the lines of the positive girl as well and liked the character. So I requested the team to let me audition for the positive character too. They heard my request and I auditioned for the same and got selected.” She further goes on to add, “After you have played a negative role you need to take at least a year’s gap to get back as a positive lead. But I have been fortunate enough to not have to go through all that.” With bagging the role of the positive lead, comes the responsibility of giving in the best to the audiences and the actress is a bit nervous on that front. “I just hope I do justice to my character as I have played a negative role for two years and haven’t even got enough time to get into my current character. Also, I have realized that when you play a positive role the scope of performance gets limited. You cannot over react in any of the situations; you always have to be calm and composed.” Looking forward to this, she avers, “Of course it’s very challenging, and I am happy to have bagged this role. I know I perform better when put in difficult situations.” So how different is this character from your previous roles? “Bhakti is very innocent and a happy-go-lucky soul. She is loved by one and all in her family especially her Dadaji.” When asked if she will get back to playing a negative role in Sasural Simar Ka if approached by Rashmi Sharma she says, “I respect Rashmi Mam a lot and I would love to work with her again.” We wish her all the luck and success!!!
