A page from the personal diary of Gaurav chopra An actor has many moments that touch his life and stay forever. One such moment was of a sudden decision I took in 2006. I was approached to do a lead in a stage production and I had to go to South Africa for it. I do not know what was going on in my mind at that point of time but I wanted to go to South Africa. So I wrapped up all the shows here. It took me six days to arrange for my visa and other things and I knew I was going to stay in South Africa for at least six or seven months and the job wasn't going to pay me much nor was it going to be televised. Not just that I was going to stay away from family and friends. I was in a dilemma but I still took the risk and did it. I reached there, checked into a nice hotel and when I went towards the hall where I was supposed to do my rehearsals, I was taken by surprise. For it was the same place I had see a million times in my dreams I knew about every corner of that place. It is a beautiful experience to see your dream in front of you. And, thereafter all the fantastic things happened, and getting a role in Blood Diamond was one of them. So, the point that I am trying to make here is, that a number of times we are stuck in a dilemma. We do not know what we want to do? Whether we want to do it or not? But, there is always a reason for those things happening in your life. So, let's move with the flow.
