Twelfth Indian Telly Awards - Actress In A Comic Role
Yesterday, we spoke about the child artists (male/female) who have been nominated in the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards and today we will be talking about the Actresses In A Comic Role. These actresses made you laugh with their funny acts or at times the plot of the story landed them in a situation that made you giggle. Going alphabetically we have the very hilarious Disha Vakani as Daya Jethalal Gada of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) first on our list. This lady has managed to make us laugh by her unique comic touch. One can very easily call her the Gujarati version of Charlie Chaplin as everything she does make the audiences laugh. SAB TV has some of the most hilarious characters on screen being a comedy channel. Hence, the next name on our list too is from the same channel. Well this is a very cute and adorable Jeannie who likes making life tough for the others. Any guesses? Yes, it’s none other than once upon a time Gopi Bahu aka Giaa Maanek as Jeannie in Jeannie Aur Juju (Eagle Telefilms). She makes the scenes entertaining with her magical powers that at times go wrong. Kanica Maheshwari as Meenakshi Vikram Rathi (Meena) of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions) is the best example of adding comic relief in an otherwise dramatic show. She makes the audiences laugh by her funny acts in this social issue based show. Furthermore, one of the most beautiful comic characters that we’ve seen on-screen in the recent times is Indumati Mukundilal Gupta of SAB TV’s Lapataganj- Sharad Joshi Ki Kahaniyon Ka Pata (Garima Productions). As Indumati, Sucheta Khanna is doing an extremely commendable job. She played a simple villager who got upset and hyper with small issues like any other small town lady and this is exactly what made our funny bones tickle. Lastly, we have Utkarsha Naik as Manorama Singh Raizada of Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon on our list of Actresses In A Comic Role. Utkarsha is an extremely talented actress with decades of experience in acting. Hence, as Manorama she seemed too real and we actually believed that probably that’s how she would be in real life thus; she definitely deserves an award for such a brilliant performance. We think all these actors deserve to win an award but then just one of them will take the trophy back home from The Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. So, if any of your favourites are in this list, vote for them now on http://tellyawards.indiantelevision.com/y2k13/poll/login.php.
