Mishal Raheja is undoubtedly one of the most stunning performers of small screen.
Impressing his fans with shows like Love Story, Lagi Tujhse Lagan, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Mishal is currently seen in IKRS (FilmFarm) on Colors.
Though the drama is extremely popular among the masses, unfortunately, things seem to be not going well between the makers and the cast members. Unhappy with the leap planned in the show, the female lead, Eisha Singh, stepped out of the project with Sanjeeda Sheikh taking her place.
For the uninitiated, earlier in the day, we reported that the male lead of the soap opera, Mishal, also following Eisha’s footstep. As per our sources, Mishal is said to have claimed for Rs 3 crores per day for his performance. The channel was supposed to have a meeting with Mishal and the production team later in the day (17 June) to sort out the issues.
Now, we have learned about a new development about the matter. And as promised to our readers, we are here to share the details with you all.
Initially, though, Mishal did not revert to our texts later on he decided to open up about the matter to Tellychakkar.com. Referring to the entire incident, Mishal stated, “Do you think that any actor can demand that much price when the show’s TRPs are dipping? It’s a trick. They all know that as an actor we need to do fresh stuff, so, they are preparing excuses to release me. Whoever has spread this rumour, is dumb, be it the production house or the channel. They are simply dumb with a lot of ego”.
When we asked him to elaborate further, Mishal added, “See, seven days a week telecast is inhumane. It’s not possible to work like this. When I joined the project the show was from Monday to Friday, which later on became till Saturday and now it is till Sunday. Yes, of course, I have asked for more money because my one year contract ends with them, but the figure they have mentioned is just to show me in a bad light. That’s all.”
We quizzed him about whether he plans to quit the show or not. To which Mishal replied, “No, I want to stay” and signed off.
On the other hand, we also tried to reach the channel’s spokesperson to know about their side of the story, but they remained tight-lipped about the same and choose not to comment.
