MUMBAI: World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th to encourage awareness and action for protecting our environment. It was first held in 1973, and till date serves as a platform for raising awareness on various environmental issues. Each year, the program provides a theme and forum for businesses, non-governmental organizations, communities, politicians, and celebrities to advocate for environmental causes. OnWorld Environment Day, Zee TV actorAngad Hasija from KaiseMujhe Tum Mil Gaye spoke about his thoughts on preserving the environment and the need to work towards making it better. 

Angad Hasija who essays the role of Abhiraj in Zee TV’s KaiseMujhe Tum Mil Gaye said, "World Environment Day is a significant reminder of the role we all play in nurturing our environment. Our planet is a precious gift, and it’s our duty to protect it. I believe that every small action counts, whether it is planting a tree, reducing plastic usage, or conserving water. These actions may seem minor, but together, they create a substantial impact. As an actor, I am fortunate to have a platform to voice these concerns and inspire change. I urge everyone to be mindful of their daily habits and make conscious choices for our ecosystem. Like, I follow simple steps by using reusable bags and cycling to nearby locations. Let’s not wait for a specific day to take action and remember that the environment is not just a backdrop to our lives, it’s the very foundation of our existence. Let’s cherish it, respect it, and protect it for ourselves and future generations."
