Yasir Shah to play the lead in Kathputli

TellyChakkar earlier reported about Jai Mehta productions’ upcoming show tentatively titled Katputli on Sahara One. The show is about a girl who is mute who blindly follows what her family has to say. Snigdhaa Srivastava will be seen playing the female protagonist on the show. And now we hear that the production house has finalised on Balaji find Yasir Shah to play the male lead opposite Srivastava. Shah was last seen in a cameo appearance in Balaji Telefilms’ Tujh sang preet lagayi sajana . Informs a source, “After Snigdhaa Srivastava, Yasir Shah has been signed on to play the male lead in Katputli . The show will launch sometime post IPL on Sahara One. Srivastava has also played the lead in Rahe tera aashirwad on Colors from the same production house. Apparently, both the leads of the show are mute.” We tried contacting Shah but he remained unavailable. Kinnari Mehta, co-producer of the show refused to comment on it.
