It is claimed that Abhira and Armaan will once again part ways after Rohit, played by Romiit Raaj, dies on the show. The actor who plays Armaan, Rohit Purohit, talked candidly with the popular news portal about whether the program will feature any track of that kind.

Reacting to the rumor of Romiit Raaj's character exiting the show, Rohit said, "I have no idea about this track. The thing is, today there are so many social media platforms that sometimes people create their own stories and publish them. The viewership of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is so good that even if it's fake news, people get millions of views on it. I have seen this a lot. I have no idea about any such track. Neither have there been any conversations regarding this track with the creators and makers, and even if there are, I don't have any idea about it. Mostly, the creators and makers inform us of such important tracks, but as of now, nothing about this track has been shared."
The actor went on to address the rumour that Abhira and Armaan would split up because the Poddars would hold Abhira responsible for Rohit's death, "At this point in time, I want to say to the viewers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to be aware of such fake news and not believe such things. Armaan and Abhira are now going to become one, especially after facing so many hardships, so I don't believe there is even a one percent chance of separation on the show, especially now because their bond has become stronger. I really don't think anything at this moment can separate them."
