MUMBAI: The producer Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai made the Star Plus premiere in 2009 and reached a 15-year milestone last January. One of the most recognizable shows in Indian television history, Armaan and Abhira, starring Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla, is currently in its fourth generation.
Armaan, Abhira, and Ruhi are the three main characters in the current Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai plot. In recent episodes, Armaan confesses his love for Abhira and ends his marriage to Ruhi, shocking both of them and the Poddar family. Ever since Armaan has been working hard to earn back Abhira's trust.
For those who may not know, Rohit Purohit joined the long-running family drama earlier this year, taking over the role of Armaan from Shehzada Dhami. Although it took some time for the loyal fanbase of YRKKH to accept him in this role, Rohit Purohit is now receiving much love and appreciation for his performance in this highly-rated show. Amid all this, the talented actor opened up about his off-screen equation with YRKKH co-star Samridhii Shukla in a recent interview.
Speaking with a well-known media outlet regarding the same, Rohit stated, "Samridhii and I share a great rapport both on-screen and off-screen. We've developed a good understanding of each other's acting styles, which has helped in creating a genuine chemistry between our characters. She's a talented actress, and working with her has been a delight.”
He added, "Not only her but I have formed strong bonds with my other co-stars too. The camaraderie we share off-screen translates into the authenticity of our performances on-screen. Working with such a supportive and talented cast has been an enriching experience, and our mutual respect and friendship make the set a wonderful place to be."
