Zeb Khan and Rucha Hasabnis shoot for a "cause oriented" short film

Zeb Khan and Rucha Hasabnis aka Rashi of Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame recently shot at Kolhapur for a short film directed by Vidya Sagar Adhyapak of ‘Gateway to Heaven’ fame which won many awards. The short film which is aiming to get an entry at a Film Festival gives out a message to the viewers, and is about female foeticide. Zeb and Rucha play a couple wherein the lady is carrying a girl child. The in-laws of the girl, played by Yatin Karyekar and Smita Oak want the unborn kid to be aborted since it is a girl child. The husband is torn between his wife and mother, and cannot take a decision of his own. When contacted, Zeb Khan told us, “Yes, we have returned from Kolhapur after the shoot just yesterday. It was a nice experience shooting for this short film, and I believe this will be a stepping stone to my Bollywood career. People liked seeing me and Rucha together, and we got praised for looking good on screen as a couple.” We tried getting through to Rucha, but she was busy with her shoot. This short film will no doubt create an awareness amongst the masses.
