The media was abuzz with the news when Monika Shergill quit as the Non-Fiction Programming Head at Star Network sometime in October 2012. Monika wanted time out as she wanted to spend time with her family.
The latest is that Zulfia Waris, who is currently the Programming Head of Channel V, would be replacing her early next year.
Having a total experience of 12 years, Zulfia worked with MTV for seven and a half years as its Associate Creative Director and following that she joined Channel V, where she she has been for the past four and a half years.

Her new role is very much expanded and she will be the VP, Content Development Non-Fiction Head of Star Group. The channels under her belt: Star Plus, Life OK and Channel V.
As she is still busy wrapping up her work at Channel V, Zulfia will assume her new post in the New Year.
We tried contacting her repeatedly to get a confirmation but she remained unavailable.
